CIGNA Claim Terminations and Denials on the Rise

July 18, 2008
CIGNA's disability claims offices are increasing the number of claim denials and terminations on its group disability book of business.  A "Termination" is when a claim has been initially approved by the insurer who later finds reasons to stop the ongoing monthly benefits.  This tactic, designed to save money for the insurance company, has been the subject of a widespread government investigation in the disability insurance industry.  See our microsite at: http://www.unumprovidentclassaction.net/ Claim denials are when an insurer refuses to pay the claim from the outset.

Quadrino Schwartz has had great success in obtaining results for clients who have had their claims denied or terminated by CIGNA.  If you would like to speak to one of our attorneys about a CIGNA claim, fill out the contact form on any one of the pages of this site and we'll contact you as soon as possible.
